The Scribe Tablet, like all the others, is 16" x 16", with the center section measuring about 12" x 12". Here are a few detail photos:
While the ladder is heavily couched and reasonably visible, the helper climbing up is just a barely stitched outline: he would have been totally anonymous.
Here's the painting of a scholar sharpening his quill. In this tablet, and the Stained Glass Tablet, I heavily stitched each letter in a padded satin stitch. Later, I started outlining the letters in white, which you'll see in the next tablet.
